BIOGRAPHY:
Kellean Truesdell was born in Indiana, has resided in California and Ohio, and became a Florida resident in 1980. Kellean graduated from Springstead High School in Spring Hill, Florida. She then received her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Eckerd College, law degree from the University of Akron School of Law, and her masters in law from the University of Miami School of Law in Estate Planning.

The Graduate Program in Estate Planning from the University of Miami School of Law is unique in that it is the only existing full-time law school graduate program in the nation. The comprehensive coverage of estate planning topics offered by the curriculum covers all areas necessary for the development of a competent estate planner in the areas of income and wealth transfer tax laws, planning strategies, fiduciary administration, document drafting, ethics, and the use of technology in the planning process. Admission to the LL.M. program is highly selective (18 to 21 per year) and the faculty of the program is unparalleled in graduate level legal education with leading estate planning practitioners, specialists, and preeminent experts from around the nation. Over the years, the faculty has included deans, former deans, partners and managing partners from elite law firms, former IRS commissioners, chief counsels, Tax Court Judges, and eminent scholars.

Kellean is married to Paul Grant Truesdell, J.D., AIF, CLU, ChFC, RFC, an Economist and President of Truesdell Consulting, Inc. They have three children, Paul, Graham, and Alexandria, and are dynamically involved in their children’s education on a daily basis. Kellean and her husband operate their practices from the Truesdell Professional Building in Ocala, Florida; a unique Southwestern architectural building they built in 2005-2006, located in the Ocala International Commerce Park (one mile east from the Ocala International Airport and one mile west of Interstate 75).

The Truesdells previously resided in metropolitan Tampa for thirteen years and maintain their contacts and business relationships with regular frequency.
